I've always been drawn to homes—not just for how they look, but for how they live. I love studying a floor plan, understanding how a space flows, and imagining the possibilities that others might overlook. Sometimes it's a simple paint color, better lighting, or rearranging furniture. Other times, it's recognizing the long-term value of a property or helping a client envision what a home could become.
That perspective led me to earn a degree in Interior Design from Mississippi State University before making New Orleans my home in 2010. Since becoming a licensed Realtor in 2016 and co-founding the Maki + Talavera Group, I've been fortunate to combine my passion for design, architecture, and real estate into a career that allows me to help people through some of life's biggest milestones.
But for me, real estate has never been just about buying and selling homes.
It's about people.
It's about relationships.
It's about helping clients feel confident, informed, and supported throughout the entire journey.
